Safety at ReelCrew

These are the rules every upload follows and the checks we run to enforce them. The legal details are in our Terms and Privacy Policy; if anything here differs, those pages apply.

1. Consent

Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed to be in the video. Before uploading you must tick a consent box confirming this. We keep a record of that consent for 90 days.

2. Adults only

ReelCrew is for adults. Every face in an uploaded photo goes through an automated age check, and a photo is rejected if anyone in it may be under 18. Do not upload photos of minors.

3. No impersonation, sexual content or harassment

Do not use ReelCrew to impersonate real people, celebrities or public figures, to make intimate or sexual content of anyone, or to harass anyone. Uploaded faces are checked against a public-figure recognition service, and photos that match are rejected.

4. Automated moderation

Uploaded photos, the text you enter and every generated video are checked by an automated content-moderation service (SeeAPI) before anything is delivered. Content that is blocked is deleted straight away and never delivered, and the money or credit used for it is returned.

5. AI labels and Content Credentials

Every ReelCrew video carries a visible “AI-generated” label, and the free preview also carries a watermark. The video files contain metadata stating that they are AI-generated. Signed C2PA Content Credentials are planned but not yet active.

6. Reporting a video

If a ReelCrew video shows you without your consent, report it. We remove videos covered by a valid request as soon as possible and within 48 hours, together with any identical copies we hold, and we may block the account that made it.

7. How long we keep photos and videos

  • Uploaded photos: deleted as soon as generation finishes; a photo that fails the content check is deleted immediately.
  • Photos that never lead to a generation: deleted automatically within about 1 day.
  • Preview and full-quality videos: deleted automatically 30 days after creation.
