The My Ride Is Here Trend, Explained

“My ride is here”: the clip looks like everyday footage from a car window, until someone floats up beside it on a broomstick, gives the camera one deadpan look and flies off over the trees. Here is where the trend came from, how big it is, and how to make your own version from one photo.

What the Trend Is

My Ride Is Here is the flying broom trend of Halloween 2026. The joke is in how normal it looks: ordinary street footage, then a rider keeping pace with the car on a broom, as if the broom were the taxi they had booked. Everyday clothes make it a commuting joke and a witch costume makes it Halloween. The caption is “My ride is here” or, in Spanish, “¡Ya llegó mi transporte!”, and the early versions came from one-photo AI templates in CapCut.

Where It Started

  • 22 September 2026: the earliest broom post Jump on the Trend found, a one-photo CapCut template from a template account.
  • 27 September 2026: @rora_dd posts the Spanish version captioned “¡Ya llegó mi transporte!”, the first post found using the trend’s name (543.8K plays on 16 October, per Jump on the Trend).
  • 28–29 September 2026: how-tos take off. A Portuguese CapCut how-to tagged #myrideishere and #broomridingtrend reaches 1.5M plays, the biggest post Jump on the Trend found; @rora_dd follows with an English version and YouTube how-to Shorts appear.
  • 6 October 2026: the Halloween turn, a generated clip of a witch on her broom drifting into a police checkpoint (705.6K plays on 16 October).
  • 12 October 2026: MakeViral counted 6,308 TikTok videos and 17.7M views on #myrideishere, as reported by Jump on the Trend, which notes it could not verify these counts. MakeViral put #broomridingtrend at 5,907 videos and 15.3M views on the same day.
  • 11 October 2026: a forest-road version on Instagram mixes real footage from a car with an AI lift-off, by MakeViral’s description (3,843 likes on 18 October).
  • 13–15 October 2026: AI template sites catch up with prompt pages and one-photo templates, including a scooter-traffic version and a pet version with a cat or dog on the broom.

How Big Is It Now?

The meme has spread to X. By our count through the X API, posts mentioning “my ride is here” went from 30 on 16 October to 432 on 17 October and 592 on 18 October 2026 (UTC days). Many of them are image memes rather than broom videos. The most-viewed one, “sorry guys my ride is here”, had 143,611 views, 8,351 likes and 1,310 reposts when we read it on 19 October.

On TikTok the picture is more mixed. Jump on the Trend’s 16 October read found the first wave slowing: @rora_dd’s Spanish post grew by under 1% in four days and the checkpoint witch by about 4%. Search is still small. On 18 October Google suggested “flying broom ai”, “flying broom trend”, “broomstick trend” and “broom trend tiktok” in the US, and “como hacer el trend de la escoba” in Spanish, but nothing yet for “my ride is here ai”. It is a witch joke and Halloween is on 31 October, so Jump on the Trend expects a possible second round in Halloween week. That is their guess, not a measurement. Our X counts did rise sharply on 17 and 18 October, though many of those posts are image memes.

Other Names for the Broom Trend

People search for the same clip as the flying broom trend, the broom trend or the broomstick trend, and tag it #myrideishere or #broomridingtrend. In Spanish it is “el trend de la escoba”, and in Brazil “trend da vassoura”. “My Ride’s Here” is also a Warren Zevon song, which Google often suggests for the same words, but it has nothing to do with the trend.

Ways People Play the Joke

  • The commute: everyday clothes, an ordinary street, and a broom keeping pace with the traffic as if it were a taxi.
  • The witch: a black dress or dark coat, and in the most-played version a broom that drifts into a police checkpoint.
  • The forest road: real phone footage from a car, then an AI take-off over the trees.
  • Scooter traffic and pets: template sites have added a version among scooters and one with a cat or dog on the broom.

Our template films the car-window street version from one photo of an adult, and the outfit in your photo decides whether it is a commute or a witch. It does not do pets.

FAQ

What is the My Ride Is Here trend?

Is there a My Ride Is Here song?
