How ReelCrew Works: From Photos to a 12-Second Video
ReelCrew turns one or two ordinary photos into a 12-second vertical video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. You choose the story, such as a kiss, a hug or a Halloween broom ride, and the AI does the rest. This page explains every step, from the photos you need to what you pay and what happens to your files afterwards.
How to Make an AI Video From Photos, Step by Step
- Pick a template: two photos for the couple templates, one photo for the solo Halloween templates.
- Upload your photos and confirm that everyone shown is an adult who agreed to it.
- Sign in with Google and claim your free daily credit, or pay straight away.
- Wait a few minutes while the AI generates and finishes your 12-second video.
- Watch the watermarked preview, then pay once to download the full-quality video.
You do it all on one page: the upload box on the home page and on every template page. There is no editor to learn and no timeline to trim. Every video comes out the same size, 12 seconds at 1080×1920 (9:16), so it fits vertical feeds without cropping.
Which Templates Need One Photo and Which Need Two
The couple templates put two people in one scene, so they take two photos, one person in each. You do not need a photo of you together: each person comes from their own picture, taken anywhere. At least one photo must show a real adult; the other can also be a pet or a cartoon character. The solo Halloween templates (Ramalama, My Ride Is Here and the ghost prank) take a single photo.
| Template | Photos | What the photo should show |
|---|---|---|
| AI Kiss Generator | 2 | One person per photo, face clearly visible and looking roughly at the camera |
| AI Hug Generator | 2 | One person per photo, face clearly visible |
| AI Romantic Video Maker | 2 | One clear face per photo |
| AI Couple Video Generator | 2 | Solo photos, face clearly visible |
| Zombie Couple Video Generator | 2 | Clear, front-facing faces |
| Ramalama Costume Walk & Reveal Video | 1 | Full body, head to shoes in frame |
| Ramalama Bang Bang Broom Moon Video | 1 | One adult, face clear and facing the camera |
| My Ride Is Here AI Flying Broom Video | 1 | One adult, face clear and facing the camera |
| Ghost Prank Filter Video | 1 | A room, hallway or doorway with nobody in it |
Photo Tips for a Better AI Video
- One person per photo, with the face sharp, well lit and roughly facing the camera.
- No sunglasses, masks or hands over the face, and no group shots or heavy filters.
- For the costume and broom templates, the outfit in your photo is the outfit in the video, so a half-body or full-body shot works best.
- JPG, PNG and WebP all work. Your browser shrinks each photo to at most 1536 pixels before upload, so it is quick even on mobile data.
Consent and Safety Checks Before Anything Is Generated
Before you can upload, you confirm that you are one of the people in the photos or have permission from everyone shown, that everyone is 18 or older, and that no photo shows a celebrity or public figure. We check that confirmation on the server again when you upload, generate and pay, and keep a record of it for each photo pair.
Each photo is then checked automatically. Every human face gets an age estimate and a public-figure check: one face that looks under 18, or one confident celebrity match, rejects the photo. Photos with more than four faces, or with a person whose face cannot be seen, are rejected too, because we cannot check someone we cannot see. A separate content check looks for sexual, violent and other prohibited material in every photo and again in the finished video. The face check fails closed: if it cannot run, the upload is rejected. A bot check protects uploads and free credits, and accounts that break the rules are blocked. Anyone can ask for a video to be removed on our report page.
What Happens During AI Generation
Your photos and the template’s fixed scene description go to a state-of-the-art image-to-video model. You do not write a prompt; each template defines the camera, the action and the timing. You see progress the whole time, and it usually takes a few minutes. If a generation fails, we retry automatically.
When the clip comes back, we cut it to exactly 12 seconds at 1080×1920. Templates with a reveal, such as the Ramalama clips, are trimmed by up to 1.5 seconds so the reveal lands on the beat.
Music, Captions and the AI-Generated Label
The couple templates get a music bed chosen for each template, from soft piano for a kiss to upbeat pop for a couple clip and dark piano for the zombie couple, levelled so every video plays at a similar volume. The solo Halloween templates keep the soundtrack the video model generates with the scene. The My Ride Is Here template also has the caption “My ride is here” on screen. Want a trending song instead? Add it in TikTok when you post; our trending TikTok sounds list shows which ones are climbing this week.
Every video, including the preview, carries a small “AI-generated” label in the top-left corner for all 12 seconds. The file’s metadata also states that it is an AI-generated video made with ReelCrew. The label is there so viewers know what they are watching, and we do not offer a way to remove it.
Free Preview Credits (There Is No Free Plan)
ReelCrew has no free plan and no subscription. To try it, sign in with Google and claim a free daily credit. One credit makes one watermarked preview of the full 12-second video, so you can judge the result before paying. You can claim one credit per day. Credits expire at midnight UTC, do not add up, and can never unlock the full-quality file. Free previews are also limited per network and device to stop abuse.
One-Time Paid Download
If you like the preview, pay once to unlock it: $9.99 for one full-quality video, or $19.99 for a pack of three that you can use on any templates. Unlocking removes the preview watermark (the “AI-generated” label stays) and gives you the 1080×1920 MP4 with music and a private share link. You can pay by card through Stripe (including Apple Pay or Google Pay where shown, and Link) or with PayPal. You can also pay before generating, without signing in. Unused pack credits never expire. If a paid video cannot be delivered, we refund that video automatically (or return the credit you used). See pricing and our refund policy.
What Happens to Your Photos and Videos
Uploaded photos are deleted as soon as your video is delivered or the generation fails for good. A photo that fails the content check is deleted immediately, and photos that never lead to a video are deleted within about a day. Generated videos are kept for 30 days so you can watch, share and download them, then deleted automatically. Nothing appears in our gallery unless you switch on sharing for that video yourself. Details are in our privacy policy.
FAQ
Is there a free plan?
No. There is no free plan and no subscription. Signed-in Google users can claim one free daily credit, which makes one watermarked preview. To download the full-quality video you pay once: $9.99 for one video or $19.99 for three.
How many photos do I need?
It depends on the template. Kiss, hug, romantic, couple and zombie couple take two photos, one person in each. Ramalama, My Ride Is Here and the ghost prank take one photo; for the ghost prank it is a photo of an empty room, not a person.
Can I make a video without signing in?
Yes. Free previews need a Google sign-in, but you can pay by card or PayPal and generate straight away without an account. Unused 3-pack credits are then kept in your browser and are saved to your Google account once you sign in.
Why was my photo rejected?
Every photo goes through automatic checks before anything is generated. A photo is rejected if a face looks under 18, matches a public figure, shows a person whose face cannot be seen, has too many faces, or contains sexual, violent or other prohibited content. If the face check cannot run at all, the upload is rejected too.
Can I remove the “AI-generated” label?
No. Paying removes the preview watermark, but the small “AI-generated” label stays on every video, and the file’s metadata also says it is AI-generated.
What if my video fails?
We retry automatically. A daily-credit preview that fails for good gives the credit back if it is still the same day (UTC), and a paid video that cannot be delivered is refunded automatically (a used pack credit is returned instead).
